Hi there! I’m Dan Trommater and I love helping people be better. What kind of better? Better at work. Better at home. Just plain better. And really, it’s not up to me how they get better. What matters is how they want to be better.
“You need to meet people where they are before you can take them where they want to go.”
I see a lot of speakers, trainers, and ‘experts’ impose their content on audiences with no regard for the unique individuals in the room. “Here’s my 5-step process for improvement. Go do it and you’ll succeed.” I think that’s preposterous and presumptuous! This one-size-fits-all approach is not only ineffective, it’s insulting.
That’s why I tap into my training as a coach to offer more questions than I do answers. Sure, I provide proven tools, eye-opening new perspectives, and research-backed techniques from the field of positive psychology, but that’s just the beginning. Then I ask the questions that help each person (or team) find their own best answer to their specific challenges.
Plus, I’ve been a professional magician for over 20 years, so my programs are super engaging and a lot of fun. I use world-class magic and optical illusions as visual metaphors that convey ideas and content in a way that words alone simply fall short.

The Magic Castle
The Magic Castle in Hollywood, California is the home of the Academy of Magical Arts and is my home away from home. I’ve been a member of the Academy for 23 years and am a repeat performer in many of the club’s showrooms. I’m very proud to have been invited to perform so many times in the world’s most prestigious venue for magic. Hobbies
In my spare time, I love to work with my hands and make gifts for friends and family. I’m an amateur luthier, woodworker, and vintage axe restorer (yes, that’s a thing!)
