Being able to display empathy in the workplace is becoming more and more important. Empathy is crucial because it allows you to make meaningful connections with others and can help you become a better colleague, manager, partner, and friend.
Businessolver Workplace found that 80% of employees would be willing to work longer hours for an employer they view as empathetic. They also found that 42% of consumers would not buy from a company that they don’t feel is empathic.
It’s also an extremely marketable skill. In fact, according to George Anders from Forbes, empathy is the number one job skill we’ll need as we move into 2020.
